Quilt Festival Spring 2009

Although not my favorite quilt of ALL time - this quilt is dearly loved in our house!!

Last year, my husband's work flew him to Japan for 3 months...and I needed a project! So, I decided to make a quilt for my son who was 2 and just moving into a big-boy bed...
This is what I came up with...I get asked all the time about the size of the quilt...and I don't have the exact measurements...but it fits his bed perfectly...without hanging over on any side. This way, he makes his bed more often!

I like this quilt because it was fun to make, and even more fun to watch my son enjoy it...

Very cute quilt! Isn't it a great feeling when the kids appreciate your work? My 24 yr. old still has his quilt from childhood. I can't even count how many times I've repaired it.
